Freedom and Lightness in your Body
Excessive breast volume is not just a matter of appearance; it often affects your posture, limits your physical activity, and causes back or neck pain. Reduction mammoplasty is a transformative surgery in the most functional sense: we remove excess tissue and skin to create a lighter breast, proportional to your body and with a more youthful shape. The goal is for you to feel immediate relief and reconnect with a silhouette that makes you feel agile and confident.
What is the procedure like?
Before entering the operating room, we perform meticulous markings on your skin. We design the new position of the areola and calculate the amount of tissue to be removed to ensure symmetry and proportion.
We remove excess fat, glandular tissue, and skin. We don’t just ‘take away’ volume; we sculpt the remaining tissue to give it a rounded and aesthetically pleasing shape.
By reducing the size, we also lift the nipple-areola complex to its ideal position, correcting the sagging (ptosis) that usually accompanies excessive volume.
Realizamos suturas por planos para reducir la tensión en la piel y favorecer una cicatrización lo más fina posible.
Recommendations for your Well-being
Before surgery:
It is essential to have a recent mammogram or ultrasound to rule out any pathology in the breast tissue.
Tobacco is the number one enemy of healing in this surgery. You must stop smoking completely at least 4 weeks beforehand.
Keep the skin on the breasts hydrated to improve its elasticity.
After surgery:
Continuous use (day and night) for one month to support the tissues in their new position while they heal.
Keep the incisions clean and dry. We will instruct you on how to perform simple dressings at home.
Do not lift your arms above your shoulders or carry heavy objects during the first 3 to 4 weeks.
Sleep on your back to avoid pressure on the breasts during the first month.
