CO2 Laser

Deep skin resurfacing technology. We stimulate the production of new collagen to soften scars, reduce fine lines, and visibly improve the texture and luminosity of your skin.

Texture and Regeneration

Renew Your Skin Quality

Our skin retains the memory of acne, sun exposure, and the passage of time. Fractional CO2 Laser is the most powerful tool to “reset” that memory. Unlike older lasers, this technology works through micro-columns of heat, leaving bridges of healthy skin that speed up healing. It is the ideal treatment if you are looking to tighten pores, soften acne scars, or simply restore a smooth, even, and vibrant texture to your face, always under the expert supervision of Dr. Andrea.

What is the procedure like?

We apply a potent topical anesthetic cream for 30 minutes before the session, or we perform it under sedation. This makes the procedure very tolerable and comfortable.

Dr. Andrea passes the laser handpiece over the areas to be treated. You will feel a localized heat sensation. The device scans the skin and delivers fractional beams of light that penetrate the deep dermis to activate regeneration.

After finishing, the skin will be red and you will feel a burning sensation similar to a strong sunburn. We apply repairing creams and local cold to soothe the skin immediately.

Between days 3 and 5, the skin will begin to peel (micro-crusts). This is a natural process in which the old skin sheds to reveal the new, pink, and smooth skin underneath.

Recommendations for your well-being

Before the procedure:

It is vital not to have had direct sun exposure or used tanning beds for at least one month beforehand. The laser cannot be performed on tanned skin.

Discontinue acids (retinoic, glycolic) or irritating treatments one week beforehand.

If you have a history of cold sores, let us know so we can prescribe a preventive antiviral.

After the procedure:

Sun exposure is prohibited during the recovery process. You must use dermatologic sunscreen every 3 hours, even if you are at home.

Apply the repairing creams we prescribe several times a day. The skin needs a lot of hydration while it regenerates.

Let the skin shed on its own when you gently wash your face. Picking off scabs can leave marks.

You may resume wearing makeup once the peeling has finished (usually after 5 to 7 days).
